Bridal Earrings
Below I'll cover a few tips on how to select bridal earrings that best go with your wedding dress.
It's important to choose wedding earrings that not only your style, but that also compliment your wedding day look and are comfortable!
As a wedding photographer, I'll also give some tips on what earrings tend to photograph the best, depending what you're looking for!
Tips to Select Your Bridal Earrings
Do you want something bold? Such as a statement piece when it comes to your bridal earrings? Or, are you looking for earrings that are subtle and understated?
If you are confused about the prior question, think about your wedding dress and how you will be wearing your hair.
If you are wearing a more dramatic dress with a lot of intricacies & details, subtle earrings may complete the look perfectly. This will add to the look while keeping the focus on the dress.
If you feel like you can play up your dress more with accessories, statement piece earrings would be a great addition to complete the look.
As for hair, if one is wearing his/her up, keep in mind that the statement earrings will be highlighted. Whereas when one is wearing his or her hair down, statement bridal earrings will be toned down a bit and subtle earrings may be much less noticeable than you expected.
The last thing to ask is - how will you be wearing your makeup? Little things like this can also give you a better idea of what types of earrings would best complete your overall look!
Honestly, it's all a balancing act. As a general rule of thumb, too many statement pieces in one look can actually detract from an outfit because it will tend to look crowded and one's eyes won't know where to look.
So if one item from an outfit is more detailed, than other items can be more nuanced. And vice versa.
Below are some bridal earring examples!

- Don't overdo it
Although it's tempting to add the bling, you don't want to risk letting your accessories outshine you. Less is more! Keep that in mind when choosing your jewels!
2. Stick to your style
Remember, it's your day. Stay true to what feels right to you when selecting your bridal earrings or any other wedding accessories for that matter!
3. If you're wearing a wedding veil, consider the veil.
If it's a more intricate veil, simple earrings are best. If it's a simple veil or no veil at all, bridal statement earrings are a go!
