Interested in learning more about wedding venues in Los Angeles? This list has you covered. I am wedding photographer and if there is one thing I have seen a lot of, it's LA wedding venues.
I'm also including some hidden gem wedding venues in Los Angeles. These are private properties that few know about, but are available for wedding day rental. ;)
Comprehensive California Wedding Venue List
If you're open to wedding venues in all of California, including NoCal and SoCal, I'd scope our CALIFORNIA WEDDING VENUE LIST. It' super comprehensive.
Los Angeles Elopement Location Guide
Also, if you're planning on eloping, check out my LOS ANGELES ELOPEMENT COMPLETE GUIDE which includes several amazing locations to elope in Los Angeles that don't have guest count minimums. Most of the LA wedding venues below have guest count minimums of around 75 people.
Step 1 - Pick Your Atmosphere
Going through wedding venues in Los Angeles can easily become really overwhelming. This is because there are SO MANY options within the LA county alone.
- With this said, my suggestion is to close your eyes with your parter and take 1 -2 minutes to visualize your wedding ceremony.
- Within this visualization, take note of your surroundings. Where are you both? Are you by the sea? Are you in the middle of a forest? How about in an old church with gorgeous stained glass windows?
- Whatever surrounding *FIRST* popped into your mind is usually an indication of what your soul truly wants. With that in mind, I'd look for venues with similar atmospheres within the categories below.
Atmospheres
- Beach Wedding Venues in Los Angeles
- Airbnb Wedding Venues in Los Angeles
- Funky & Offbeat LA Wedding Venues
- Small Wedding Venues in Los Angeles (Great for Intimate Weddings)
- Ranch Wedding Venues in Los Angeles
- Forest Wedding Venues Los Angeles
- Rooftop Wedding Venues in Los Angeles
- Garden Wedding Venues in Los Angeles
- Wedding Chapel Los Angeles Venues
Once you have decided on which atmosphere category best fits what you’re looking for, look at the corresponding venues below! Keep in mind that most of these are outdoor wedding venues in Los Angeles.

This is one of my absolute favorite outdoor wedding venues in Los Angeles. The Bel-Air-Bay Club is reminiscent of Old Hollywood. It provides beautiful views of the ocean and is great for larger weddings as it hosts up to 600 guests.
The Lodge at Malibou Lake, Agoura Hills
While this isn't technically a Los Angeles beach wedding venue, the Lodge at Malibou Lake is an historic venue hidden in the rustic Santa Monica Mountains, shaded by sycamore and oak trees, and beside a private lake. The lake is so breathtaking and definitely offers something unique.
Beach Wedding Venues in Malibu
These next venues on the list are outdoor venues in Malibu. So they are still in LA county, making it easy for guests to travel too.

Airbnb Wedding Venues in Los Angeles
As far as airbnb wedding venues in Los Angeles go, please make sure to ask the owners in advance if you are allowed to have an event there. If not, this could result in some potential legal issues. Depending on the property, some owners won't allow it, while others do allow it with an additional event fee.
If you're open to eloping, it definitely simplifies things by having an intimate ceremony in a beautiful airbnb space and then going to dinner afterwards. This would avoid the intricacies of hosting a large scale event at an airbnb.
However, the airbnb wedding venue options provided below are larger in nature...so they are better suited if you're planning on using it for your intimate or larger scaled wedding.
One thing to keep in mind with Airbnb wedding venues is that one will have to bring everything in (chairs, tables, linens, plates, heaters, etc.). This can easily become incredibly overwhelming and is A LOT MORE work than having your wedding at a Los Angeles venue that includes all of these items. If the Airbnb wedding option does appeal to you, I highly recommend working with a wedding planner; this will save one much time & energy.
This airbnb works as an LA wedding venue as it's surrounded by wide open space. It includes beautiful views of the sea.
This property isn't an Airbnb, however, it's a private property that is available for rent for intimate or larger scale weddings. The property itself is insanely gorgeous. It resides on the mountains of Malibu and offers breathtaking views of the valley and ocean. To view a wedding I documented on a cloudy day on this property, CLICK HERE.
Beautiful private property that includes gardens, a reception area, and more.

The Little White Church, Pasadena

I had a hard time deciding which category to place this venue in because it really is it’s own unique thing. It’s the cutest chapel ever that can be used as the ceremony space. This same space can then be transformed into a beautiful reception space. It’s also in the heart of Pasadena, which is amazing because Pasadena itself offers SO MANY great places to take photos, such as couple portraits or bridal party/family portraits at.

This Los Angeles wedding venue is super cute! It’s located along the edge of Hollywood Hills and offers a hip, funky, and slightly bohemian vibe. It is a fully turnkey restaurant, bar, and wedding event space.
The Valentine is the sister wedding venue to the Grassroom DTLA venue. Both downtown LA wedding venues are located right next door to one another. With that said, if you're going to scope out one, may as well see the other as well!
The Valentine is larger than Grassroom DTLA. It was also originally built in the 1920s and the building itself has served as many things, including a seafood market, hotel, brothel, fish and oyster company, glass blowing studio, and marijuana cultivation space. It has a really interesting history and I love how they transformed the space. It has colorful murals, fun archways, greenery, and more.
This is another really unique wedding venue in Los Angeles, specifically Long Beach. This space is a blend of sophisticated, modern, and sleek.
This is a *mostly* outdoor wedding venue in Los Angeles, specifically in the heart of Hollywood. This home was built in 1904 and is restored Victorian farmhouse. It's a 7000 square foot home that is walking distance fro dining, theaters, and more. What is great about this space is that it includes beautiful accommodations for up to 28 guests, as well as onsite parking.

This is one of my favorite forest wedding venues in California. With beautiful lawns, ancient oaks, apple trees, a zoological garden, and incredible architecture, this venue has A LOT going for it. This venue has a couple of different spaces to work with. If you're particularly fond of a forest atmosphere, I would recommend having your ceremony in La Terraza, which is a large open space that is encircled by huge California Oak trees. This space also has cobblestone pathways and a beautiful wooden staircase.
It's the perfect atmosphere for couples going for a free-spirited, natural, untraditional, or bohemian vibe.
Descanso Gardens is located in La Canada, Flintridge. It's perfect for those looking for a Los Angeles wedding venue that offers both garden and woodsy vibes. It is at the foot of the San Gabriel mountains and has a Japanese garden, rose garden, an oak forest, and a ton of greenery.
